Privacy Policy
Decentralized Internet Technologies, Inc. · 16 September 2026
Enso is end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read your messages, documents, or photos, and we do not sell, rent, or monetize anything about you.
What we store
- An account identifier we generate, so that the people you connect with can reach you. Nobody can look you up; there is no directory to search.
- A list of your devices, so that they can recognize one another and stay in sync with each other.
- An encrypted archive of that device list and your profile, which only your 24-word recovery phrase can open, so that you can recover your account if you lose every device.
- Encrypted photos and documents you share, stored as ciphertext we cannot open, so that the people you shared them with can collect them.
- Push notification tokens, so your devices can alert you that you’ve received a message.
- Encrypted messages waiting to be delivered.
What we do not store
Message content, documents, photos, and contact lists are encrypted on your device and are readable only by the people you share them with. Your contacts, messages and files are never uploaded.
Diagnostics
If you choose to send us a diagnostic report from within the app, it contains technical events only that we use to assist us with development. Diagnostic reports contain just technical information about how Enso is working, and nothing else.
Deleting your data
When you delete Enso, that removes your copy of your data from that device. To delete your username, device list, and token from our servers, you can contact us at privacy@decentralizedinternet.tech. We confirm every deletion.
Legal requests
If we are compelled to respond to a lawful request, the only data we can produce is what is listed above. We cannot produce message content, because we do not have it.
Children
Enso is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date.
